Relax, and be delighted by an idyllic picnic experience in the heart of our garden. Fresh-cut flowers grace the tables, songbirds flit through the shady trees, and earthy aromas will tantalize your senses as you enjoy afternoon tea. Within your basket lie delectable treats made in-house, each bite hinting at aromatic herbs.
Unveil your basket in our quaint Tea Room or wander and find your own shady nook within the garden.
Every Saturday and Sunday, June 13th to September 13th. You can arrive anytime between 1 PM to 3 PM (picnics end at 4pm). The garden & shop close at 5pm which gives you lots of time to linger longer in the garden after your picnic.
NOTE: You will need to reserve a seat for each person in your party (ie: For a party of 3 (3 baskets), reserve 3 seats = $30 booking fee; which will be reimbursed when you make your payment for the picnic upon your arrival.
Baskets are $60 each, the booking fee of $8.70 + tax is taken off each basket on the day of your picnic. You pay the remaining amount in the retail shop when you return your basket. Included with your basket is garden admission for the day.

Upon arrival, pick up your basket in the Tangled Garden shop and choose your beverages.

*Please note that the $10 booking deposit (of $8.70 + HST) is non-refundable. See below (Frequently Asked Questions) for more information about cancellation and rebooking.
Once you make your reservations, check your email to make your basket selection. If you have difficulty locating your email, you can make your basket choices here.
*Make sure to fill in your basket selection no later than the Monday prior to your picnic date. If we do not receive your basket selection, you will receive a basket of our choice.

Yes, it does!

We have indoor and covered spaces available in case of inclement weather. You will still be able to feel fresh breezes and smell the garden’s bouquets without getting rained on, and you are welcome to wander the garden after finishing your treats (we have umbrellas of many colours). If the weather is looking so bad that we don’t think your experience will be enjoyable, we will send notice of cancellation and you will be given an option to rebook or have your deposit refunded.

No, not at this time. We are currently offering the picnic basket options above by reservation only on the dates given.

Yes! These choices will be available when you fill out the menu selection forms.

The baskets are designed for a single person. While babes-in-arms will not be counted as separate guests, we guarantee that healthy children will have no problem finishing the contents of their very own basket.

You can rebook a new date for no extra charge up to 48 hours before your picnic is scheduled to begin. Tangled Garden Staff will switch your dates for you, please do not cancel your previously reserved booking.
However, the administrative booking fee of $10 is non-refundable unless the picnic is cancelled by us; for example, in the case of severe weather (see previous question).

Yes, if you can let us know beforehand, it will help us choose the appropriate table. We ask that your (friendly, well-behaved) dog remains on a leash at all times and that you clean up any “gifts” they may leave behind.

If your guests’ number changes, please call us, and we will try to accommodate your request.
